Purchased new in 1961 by Michael Hampton for £700 originally built with a 1000cc and raced at brands coming second to last behind a sprite, the driver got scared after coming off at paddock hill and sold the car. It was overtaken by sir Stirling Moss and John Surtees several times at brands in period. Geoff Uren also raced one.
A very interesting and rare car with huge scope for historic motorsport, HRDC allstars competitor and Goodwood potential. The overall condition is very good throughout having been restored to high standard in the past and carefully stored with little use since. A very large history folder comes with the car detailing ownership and history from its early years, several articles on the marque and their racing pedigree.
